Fusion UV Systems’ Custom Products group provides engineering, design, manufacturing, installation and support of custom UV curing equipment for a wide range of applications and lamp technologies. Custom UV curing equipment may include a single lamp module installed on the customer's existing process equipment ... or a complete turnkey installation consisting of multiple lamp modules, light shielding, nitrogen inerting and material handling systems.
Work may begin at one of our Customer Application Laboratories where we prove out or optimize a newly proposed process concept. In some applications, onsite testing using the customer's production line is the only way to prove out or optimize a particular UV process. Tests reveal the lamp configuration needed to meet a customer's production requirements and/or process speeds.
After completing the feasibility or demonstration tests, our Fusion UV Systems custom engineering team interfaces with the customer to ensure all system requirements are clearly understood.
Once your expectations and needs are established, our custom engineering team provides a detailed proposal, which may include an analysis of:
- Production speeds
- Substrate characteristics
- Chemistry issues and requirements
- Lamp configurations
- Production environment issues
- Safety issues
- Physical space limitations
- Electrical and mechanical interface with existing equipment
- Pricing options
- Support plans including maintenance requirements, field service programs, consumables supply, etc.
Upon acceptance of the project proposal, our team members begin detailed fabrication drawings, followed by materials releases to purchasing, manufacturing and assembly teams. Once assembled on our floor, the entire system is thoroughly "debugged" and tested.
Testing typically includes all cooling and exhaust systems, nitrogen inerting systems, water cooling systems, plus high voltage power supplies that energize the lamp modules.
Once your new equipment is installed, our Technical Service and Project Engineering Representatives also provide.
