UV System Available for Flat-line Conveyor
Fusion UV Systems is offering for sale a previously owned, custom designed UV-curing system. This system can accommodate up to seven Fusion UV lamps for a cure width up to 68”. The light shield is designed for mounting over an existing conveyor and for operation in a Class 1000 clean room. The lamp cooling air is thus sealed from the clean room, and it is supplied and exhausted externally from the process environment. The lamp cooling air is also isolated from the cure area by a quartz tray, which slides out of the light shield for cleaning. The air pressure in the light shield is monitored continuously, and the system shuts down automatically in the event of a pressure loss.
The custom designed UV processor can be fitted with any of Fusion UV’s 10-inch lamps, from the 300 Watt/inch F450T to the 600 Watt/inch Light Hammer® 10. A hand crank enables vertical adjustment of the complete UV chamber, placing the lamps at a distance of 2-10 inches above the product. Doors at the top of the light shield provide access to the lamps for maintenance. A fold up diamond-plated walkway allows easy access to the system. Hinged entry and exit snouts (one shown below) are provided for light containment. Lamp operation is interlocked with the light shield’s doors and snouts for safe operation. 
Other process parameters can be integrated with the UV-curing system as well. For example, conveyor speed can be linked to lamp output with variable power lamps such as the Light Hammer® 10. Fusion UV’s Custom Engineering department can tailor the level of control integration to suit customer requirements.
